Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct allows us to build a friendly forum within those who use Get The Freight Out (GTFO!) within Second Life™. Our forum allows users to communicate, collaborate, and help build a community based on this fantastic game within such a virtual world.

We appreciate your interest in our community as with your help answering questions, reporting issues, or just giving regular suggestions. It allows this community to expand while improving a users gaming experience.

This Code of Conduct applies to the forum community and the groups that are under Get The Freight Out (GTFO!). We are committed to enforcing it while making sure that everyone feels welcome.

GTFO! reserves every right to add updates to this Code of Conduct from time to time.

Expected Behavior

Be Supportive of anyone within the community. Even if they ask a simple question or want to chit-chat about random stuff. Never be afraid to be helpful as if you have a second or two, offering help to a new community member can make them feel good about joining.

Be Kind and friendly to anyone that you meet within the community. No matter what they say, always try to be respectful. Try to avoid sarcasm, cursing, caps, and regular smart remarks. The tone is hard to decipher online; make liberal use of emoji, GIFs, and Bitmoji to aid in communication.

Be helpful with anything that is added within the community if you can answer it. If you don't know the answer then try to ask someone that does.

Be generous in both giving and accepting feedback. Feedback is a natural and important part of our culture. Good feedback is kind, respectful, clear, and constructive, and focused on goals and values rather than personal preferences. You are expected to give and receive feedback with gratitude and a growth mindset.

Radical Inclusion: Anyone may be a part of GTFO! and it's groups. We welcome and respect the stranger. No prerequisites exist for participation in our community.

Unacceptable Behavior

Be bashing others when they make a mistake or mention something off-topic. No one likes it when someone continues to rant about what someone did in the past or present. Try to keep such comments to yourself. Allow our staff to deal with off-topic comments that are said as we will discuss it with the said user before removing the content from our forums or our groups.

No exclusionary language: Be careful in the words that you choose, even if it’s as small as choosing “hey, everyone” over “hey, guys.” Sexist, racist and other exclusionary jokes are not appropriate and will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Any unwelcoming language—whether or not it rises to the level of harassment—is also strongly discouraged.

No spamming: Don't spam our community with links, images, caped letter, random text, and files which might cause issues within our forum or groups. Such items should not be used to grab a persons IP address, location, or DDos their devices. Such activity is frowned upon as it will cause said user(s) to remove from everything that is inputted in our community and groups.

Reporting violations of this Code of Conduct will always be reviewed by one of our respected staff members. You can report them here, we take all reports very seriously which is why we ask that you only report serious violations.

If you have questions or concerns on reports you've submitted, please go ahead and contact us here.
